The SN Series II from P Audio offers unique opportunities for system design. This is clearly demonstrated in the SN-12LF design. The SN- 12LF is a very light weight but very high performance 12 inch (314mm) diameter design that is ideally suited for use in the very popular 12 inch two way portable loudspeaker systems. Portable systems require professional levels of performance but must be light weight enough for convenient transportation.
The SN-12LF offers very high acoustic performance. This level of high performance is provided by a high energy product Neodymium based permanent magnetic systems that offers world class efficiency. Because Neodymium is also very light weight the SN-12LF can produce excellent output while maintaining a very low weight. The light weight magnetic structure is mounted to a light weight die cast aluminum chassis. World class efficiency and weight also require world class reliability. The SN- 12LF features a high thermal capacity 3 inch (76.2mm) diameter voice coil design that employs rectangular geometry edge wound aluminum conductors. With a rated bandwidth of 60Hz to 2000Hz the SN-12LF is perfect for two way portable system designs.
P Audio engineers also developed a new cone material that provides substantial internal damping. This new material provides very high quality vocal range clarity and intelligibility. The SN-12LF produces excellent response in both the vocal fundamental range as well as in the upper vocal range. When used in a two way design with a high quality compression driver and high frequency horn, the overall systems response can produce superb vocal reproduction.
